KeelAI started with Marko, an AI conversation partner for practising Estonian in Telegram. Its creator, Denis Vetrennikov, moved to Estonia in 2022, began learning the language from scratch and is still learning. A dictionary, reading, exercises and games followed.

The Estonian dictionary, all published texts in the standalone reader, and a browser-based level test are free. The dictionary and reader work without Telegram. An account enables saved-data synchronisation. Personal file uploads are not part of this reader.

Numbers offers numbers and money topics for free. Compound Verbs includes the first 30 expressions and its full dictionary for free; Estonian Stories includes the first chapter. Further content is paid. AI practice in the main app has separate pricing. The browser test is not an official exam and does not award a certificate.

Denis is available for written interviews and email questions. An app demo with Estonian subtitles can be arranged.
